Social Events offer great networking opportunities, food and fun! Some events are included in your All-Access Pass and Full, One-Day and Student Conference Registration, and some require separate registration. Please see the specific event description for more information.

You DO NOT have to register for the conference to register for a social event.

Conference Opening Reception (Included in All-Access, Conference and Solar Success! Registrations)

Come meet new friends, greet old ones, and enjoy Phoenix at this food and cash bar reception.
Please check in at SOLAR 2010 registration between 5:00 and 8:00pm to pick up your registrant badge for admittance to the reception.

Awards Reception and Banquet (included in Full and Student Conference Registrations - additional tickets available)

6:00pm to 10:00pm
Join your colleagues and friends for the Annual Awards Banquet. A cash bar reception will begin the evening, followed by dinner sponsored by APS and a brief awards presentation.
The highlight of the evening will be a special presentation by Larry Kazmerski, NREL.

Women in Solar Luncheon (separate registration required)

Join us for a networking lunch and hear amazing women tell their amazing stories – and maybe tell one of your own! Help us honor the recipient of the ASES Women in Solar Award and enjoy networking opportunities and a guest speaker.

An Evening at Taliesin West (separate registration required)

Join us at Taliesin West, national headquarters of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, home of the Frank Lloyd Wright Archives and School of Architecture. This very special evening will include dinner and an exclusive tour of the facility led by students of the program. A special conversation with Don Aitken will also be included for those interested. Don is a LEED™ Accredited Professional, and is currently Principal of his own consulting company, Donald Aitken Associates, Affiliate Faculty Member at the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture, Senior Consulting Scientist for the Energy Department of the Union of Concerned Scientists and an ASES Passive Pioneer Award Winner. Registration fee: $75 - includes transportation, dinner, tour, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages. Register early - space is limited!
